Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (1.5 hrs | Altitude: 2,350 m)
Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, your BTCL guide and driver will greet you. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city. En route, stop at the picturesque Tachogang Lhakhang and its historic iron bridge.
In Thimphu, visit:
- National Memorial Stupa
- Buddha Dordenma at Kuenselphodrang for panoramic views of the valley
- If time allows: stroll through the Craft Bazaar or visit the Textile Museum
Overnight: Le Meridien Thimphu – Deluxe Room
Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3+ hrs | Altitude: 1,200 m)
After breakfast, journey toward the lush Punakha Valley. En route, stop at the stunning Dochula Pass (3,100 m) and admire the 108 memorial stupas and Himalayan views.
In Punakha, explore:
- Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple
- Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most majestic fortress
- Cross the Punakha Suspension Bridge
Enjoy a peaceful evening at a luxury riverside retreat.
Overnight: COMO Uma Punakha – Valley View Room
Day 3: Punakha to Paro (4 hrs | Altitude: 2,250 m)
Depart Punakha and head to Paro, Bhutan’s cultural heart. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the way, with a short break at Simtokha Dzong or Dochula Café.
In Paro, unwind or visit:
- Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan
- Rinpung Dzong and nearby Paro town for handicraft shopping

Day 4: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Start your day with a pilgrimage to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)—Bhutan’s most iconic site, perched on a cliff 900 m above the valley floor.
Choose:
- Full hike to the monastery (5 hours roundtrip)
- Shorter hike to the viewpoint with lunch at the café
After descending, relax at your resort or enjoy a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.

Day 5: Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey, carrying with you the peace, beauty, and timeless spirituality of Bhutan.

Discount
There shall be no charge for children up to the age of 5 years on Bhutan travel cost. However, those between the ages of 6 – 11 years get 50 % discount on daily rates.
