Day 2: Warm-up Paddle – Paro Chhu (Bondey to Isuna)
Your adventure begins with a scenic warm-up paddle on the Paro Chhu river. This 10 km stretch from Bondey to Isuna Bridge features Class III–IV rapids and is ideal for acclimatization and testing equipment. Begin the day with a short paddle on the Lower Paro Chhu, from Isuna Bridge to Chhuzom, a 7 km section of mainly Class II–III rapids. This stretch flows toward the confluence with Thimphu Chhu. After completing the run, you’ll drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. In the evening, enjoy cultural sightseeing or relax in a local café.
Day 4: Wang Chhu Challenge – Upper & Lower Runs
Today features an adrenaline-pumping day on the Wang Chhu, starting with the Upper Run (Chhuzom to Tam Chhu) known for its Class IV–V rapids – recommended only for skilled paddlers.
